Land at Penny Lane, Hermitage

Following a public engagement event held in October 2022, which included an online questionnaire as well as a public exhibition held in Southbourne Village Hall, we have now submitted an outline planning application.  This will consider access and the principle of development in this location.  The proposed scheme comprises 84 homes, 26 of which will be affordable.  The scheme will also provide a new community orchard, play areas, large open space to the east to protect countryside, enhance wildlife habitat and provide at least 10% Biodiversity Net Gain.  It will allow for electric vehicle charging points and access by foot to local services and facilities.
