For the last few years Seaward Properties has been involved in the Alresford Agricultural Show as sponsors of one of the livestock classes. We have sponsored sheep, cattle and goats and one year Jane Barker and Steve Culpitt discovered an unfortunate allergy to horses when sponsoring the Iberian Horse Display!
This year the show took place on Saturday 1 September. The weather was perfect and the show was very well attended. Our chosen class this year was the Dexter cattle – which were considerably smaller than the Charolais we were in the ring with a couple of years ago!
Seaward’s new Land & Planning Manager, Lucy Hill, was particularly keen to be involved. As a young farmer she had her own Dexter cattle and she and her two daughters watched the judging intently and presented the prize to the champion in the class.
