Seaward Properties were delighted to receive a further award for its development at The Square, Eastgate recently when they were announced as a winner in the Best Mixed Use Development category at the What House? 2011 Awards on Friday 18 November.
These awards, now in their 30th year, reward excellence and are judged by a panel of architects, journalists, design consultants and other experts who between them visit hundreds of different sites across the whole country.
The judges’ comments about the site were very positive and described The Square as a “classy and successful example of how mixed-use schemes, when done properly, can truly transform a neighbourhood”.
It was recognised that Seaward had achieved a “well-conceived and well-executed residential element in a far from easy site” and had managed to avoid “compromising on space in the units or by overcrowding the development”.
The design of the properties was praised and the high quality internal finishes and fixtures also received positive comment.
