The World’s Toughest Mudder certainly sounds like a challenge and is one being taken up by one of the contractors at Seaward’s latest development, Priors Orchard in Southbourne.

Danny, aged 38, has been undertaking a strenuous training regime over the last six months to ensure his fitness levels are at the correct level for the task in hand.

Danny has worked for Portsmouth Carpentry for over five years and is teaming up with Gary Birch of G & G Brickwork to complete the course and raise money for JDRF, an organisation working to improve the lives of people living with Type 1 diabetes and hopefully one day eradicate this condition.  Gary has two young children with Type 1 diabetes and he is determined to do everything he can to support his young family.

Seaward is very pleased to be supporting Danny and Gary in this challenge which takes place later this year.  It certainly sounds like a demanding experience!  The following is a quote from the event’s website.

World’s Toughest Mudder is the most extreme, insane, imposing, pulse-pounding, heart-stopping 24-hour obstacle course challenge on the planet. The man, woman and team that completes the most 5-mile course laps at this outsized event in a 24 hour period will be crowned champion. Individuals and teams who complete 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles will be honored for their efforts. Not only will the Male & Female winners receive a cool $10,000 in prize money, but they will also be crowned the Toughest Mudder on the planet.

The team has already taken part in a number of other events to raise money  and has so far raised over £9,000 of their target of £20,000.   Hopefully the Toughest Mudder will bring them closer to their goal.  The team will be keeping us updated on their progress and we wish them all the best!
