Seaward Properties is delighted to be supporting the Emsworth Show 2018 on Bank Holiday Monday, 27 August. With over 100 stands offering everything from coffee and food to jewellery, eco-friendly products and toys there will be something for everyone. There will also be a Family Fun Dog Show, a demonstration by GMG Falconry and a KitKar Team Display by Sussex Army Cadet Force. There will even be a Park & Ride in place from St James School on Bellevue Lane. The show opens at 10:30 and closes at 5.00 pm.
The show is run for the community by nearly 200 volunteers and is expecting around 5,000 visitors on the day. The Show has been an annual event since the early 80s and we understand that it has been fortunate with the weather on all but two occasions. Let’s hope this bodes well for the Bank Holiday Weekend.
The all-important Horticultural Show organised by the Emsworth Horticultural Society takes place in the main Marquee and showcases the talents of local residents who will be hoping for prizes for their flowers, fruit and vegetables, craft, baking and photography. Seaward’s Contracts Manager, Chris Monk, will be at the show for a Private View of the exhibits before it opens to the public and, as a local boy, will no doubt be remembering his own childhood entries in the show. We believe these were in the fruit and vegetable class and one year there was also a model garden!
The Seaward Bandstand will host performances by :
- The Alder Valley Band
- Dave Baker Trio (Swing)
- Pompey Pluckers
