Stuart & Sophie recently moved into their new home at Priors Orchard with their family and we are delighted that they have given us such positive feedback on their new home. They have also arrived with some other tiny residents!

“We had already looked at so many developments and were just disappointed in the room sizes or small gardens. What we really wanted was a good living space for a growing family and as soon as we saw Priors Orchard, we were really impressed,” said Sophie.

The family were living just down the road in Emsworth and loved the area. So, when Stuart switched to a new career working in London, they decided to buy their family home within walking distance to a train station. (Southbourne train station is within walking distance from Priors Orchard).

“We both love living by the coast and our children are happily settled in the local schools so it made sense to stay nearby. Having good options for secondary schools nearby also made our choice easier,” said Sophie and Stuart, whose children, aged 8 and 6, chose their own new bedrooms when the family settled on buying the former show house at Priors Orchard. Sophie and Stuart are also foster carers, so their new home will also become a caring place for their looked after children for the forthcoming years.

A new build home was always top of the family’s wish list as they didn’t want to have lots of DIY to do once they’d moved in. Other priorities included a separate utility room which could cope with busy family life, a spare bedroom which could double as a home office, and plenty of storage in a double garage.

Priors Orchard met all everything on their wish list and more. Each home comes with a high specification which includes integrated kitchen appliances, flooring throughout, and landscaping, so there are no hidden extras.

Sophie and Stuart immediately decided the 4 bedroom show home would be the perfect home for their family and as soon as their offer was accepted, solicitors were instructed. Although lockdown meant the process was slower than usual, the Sivieri family were one of the first to move once restrictions lifted and settled into their new home in May, the same day that Stuart went back out to his new job after working from home!

“The house absolutely suits us as a family. We’ve met quite a few neighbours to say hello to and they’re all really nice. The children are looking forward to making some new friends once lockdown restrictions start to ease. In the meantime, there are some beautiful walks on the doorstep, including a coastal path which is just beautiful. We’re so lucky to live here.”

The success and popularity of Priors Orchard is clear from the moment you arrive. Seaward Homes have created an inspired development with homes of 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms and a central, open green space, enabling a new local community to become established within the village of Southbourne, which is just five miles west of Chichester.

“Seaward Homes are really good developers,” added Sophie. “They met us at the house before completion to explain how everything worked and they just sorted everything out for us. An extra sparkle clean was arranged so it was absolutely ready for us to move in. Everyone at Seaward has been super-helpful throughout, including their after-care team. We’re really happy.”
